Put a little light on the subject...

As I mentioned before, I've collected a lot of driftwood. Some pieces speak more to me than others - especially, this one

I sanded it till it was as smooth as a babies, love, love it! But what to do with it?

Cruising pinterest I found some table lamps made of driftwood and it hit me - that's what I could do with it! So I went out to Target and bought this:

and this:

My original plan was to take the lamp base apart and slide it into the wood (it is hallow). But Roger and I tried and tried but we just couldn't take it apart. I then tried pulling it apart a bit and was able to slip it over the base and TA-DA! We now have a nice "designer" lamp! (do I have to sign it?

Looking for my next project!

Aloha a Hui Hou!

  1. What a great idea! You go girl!!!!

  2. oh & yes, the lantern was already that colour (it is exactly like the ones Ikea sells!) and the door for the panel has a knob on it but it also can be opened by holding the top edge...

    Have a great one!

  3. Thanks Anne! I can't help but sit back and say "I love my lamp!" lol

Go ahead, don't be shy. Love to hear your thoughts and helpful comments!
